Whether you’re a new or returning student, you will need to complete student registration at the start of each academic year. This includes if you’re taking a placement or study abroad year as part of your programme. Registration enables you to confirm your student and course details and your arrangements for paying your tuition fees. You will also get the option to be included on the Electoral Register, to enable you to register to vote.
You will use SIP throughout your studies to register on your programme, pay fees, choose your modules, print documents and submit absence requests or Personal Extenuating Circumstances (PEC) requests. You should access it regularly to check your details are correct, for example, it is extremely important that we have your up to date address and contact details.
Once you have accepted the Terms and Conditions, you will be directed to the 'Registration Status' screen. This screen lists the tasks you need to complete in order to register.
You may need to pay your tuition fees before you can complete your registration.
Once you have completed all of the online registration tasks you should have green ticks against all of the items listed on the ‘Registration Status’ screen. You can now select the 'Register' button to provisionally register.
We could embed a video here showing how to use the Portal.
